It's that time again! I have a brand new quilt design that I am so excited to share with you! Meet the Hometown Stars quilt pattern - available in 8 sizes. This quilt design really puts the emphasis on Home in Hometown Stars, and it's perfect in summery red, white, and blue!
The Hometown Stars quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.
Introducing Hometown Stars
Hometown Stars is the perfect quick and easy quilt pattern that will surely brighten up your happy home and add a homey feel to your nest. This quilt was quilted in the Lap size. Star quilts do not have to be red, white, and blue - you are free to choose whatever makes your heart happy!
You will find that Hometown Stars goes together quickly and easily with large blocks. In this design, a smaller star bursts inside a larger star, and the accent border color is pieced right into the blocks. This design is precut friendly and calls for Fat Quarters or Charm Squares. You could cut Charm Squares from Layer Cake Squares!
8 Sizes Included - Qualifies as a Quilt of Valor
Hometown Stars in the Large Throw size qualifies for the Quilt of Valor program, which makes quilts for United States Military Veterans.
If you are looking for a design that you can turn to again and again, then you should consider Hometown Stars! This pattern includes 8 - yes, 8 sizes! You will be covered no matter what size of quilt you are seeking to create. I just love to spoil you with all of the quilt sizes, and I even love doing the math for you so you don't have to! The only thing you need to know in my patterns regarding math is how to count! Easy peasy!
Longarm Quilting
I quilted Hometown Stars with the Scribble Flowers design on my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher in white thread. I just love how it turned out! I plan on hanging this quilt up in the living room of our new home!
The Hometown Stars quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.
Oh What Beautiful Fabrics!
These beautiful prints are from the Back Porch fabric collection by Me and My Sister for Moda Fabrics. I have long hoarded this older collection of fabrics, and they're perfect for Hometown Stars! The bold reds and blues are fat quarters used in the blocks, and the accent border is made with a variety of the light blue fat quarters from the collection. The pattern is written with a single accent fabric skirting the blocks, but I changed it up on this quilt and used a variety of prints as the accent. So fun!!
This design makes a stunning Quilt of Valor in the Large Throw size.
These colors work so lovely together and the Lap size would make a stunning wall-hanging quilt, which is the plan for this quilt!
