Today I'm sharing another Jacks quilt as a part of the Jacks quilt pattern launch.  Jacks is a modern farmhouse looking quilt design that was inspired by the game Jacks that I played as a kid.  The details are so fun and inspiring to work with!

With holidays around the corner, now might be the time to start planning on how to make use of your stash.  This design will not only brighten up your home, but also the faces of your loved ones when they receive a quilt made for them by you!

The Jacks quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.

The Jacks Quilt Pattern

This quilt pattern is available in 6 - YES you read this right - 6 sizes.  So choose a size that fits your interest!  This quilt is made with Fat Quarters, so it's easy to use up your stash.
  • Baby  -  3 FQs (recommend scraps)
  • Lap  -  4 FQs (recommend scraps)
  • Throw  -  7 FQs
  • Full  -  10 FQs
  • Queen  -  14 FQs
  • King  -  17 FQs
Jacks can also be made with Fat Eights - one FE will make one Jacks block.
The Jacks quilt pattern is written with a narrow border surrounding the blocks, but due to a cutting error, I had to leave the border off because I didn't have enough of the Aqua fabric.  Fortunately, the Throw size is large enough 63" x 78" that even with no border, it's still a nice Throw size quilt.

Modern Farmhouse Style Fabrics

This Jacks quilt is made in the Hello Darling fabric collection by Bonnie and Camille for Moda Fabrics.  This is an older fabric collection that I have been hoarding for just the right project!  The Accent fabric is Riley Blake Cloud, and the background fabric is Moda Bella Aqua.

The backing is Gingham Coral, a wide backing by Lori Holt, available right here in our shop.  This fabric is also used in the Binding.

The Jacks quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.

Longarm Machine Quilting

For this quilt design, I used the Wave on Wave digital design in white thread on my Handi Quilter Fusion with Pro Stitcher.  I cannot get enough of the details in this design.  It's so elegant and whimsical!  I could see this turned into a lovely modern day baby blanket for that special little bundle of joy in your life.
